Christina Koller's First Book

"Breathe Consciously, Live Intensely –
VAGUS FLOW® and the Art of Breathing"

Dear Reader,

I'm thrilled to announce that my new book is available in bookshops and online platforms!

Writing a book is a big process. I spent years honing my method, deepening it, testing it and scrutinising it again and again. Suddenly my book was written, as all the experiences of the last few years came together. But the whole process - setting up a publishing house, making corrections, marketing and design - turned out to be a real Sisyphean task. My joy and relief at the publication are all the greater now.

I am still enraptured and impressed by the power of the breath. The more subtle and aware we become, the easier it becomes. A natural breath is light and flowing. It changes with our thoughts and emotions, shows us our mood at all times and helps us to recognise unconscious stress. This is responsible for an enormous number of symptoms and illnesses. Ancient scriptures clearly state that we are born with a certain number of breaths. How we use this determines our quality of life.

These processes are described in detail in the book. The practical section primarily promotes your breathing awareness and shows you how you can relax or activate yourself with specific exercises and how you can react in the event of a panic attack or a fit of rage.

I have deliberately formulated the text in a clear and accessible way. This corresponds to the nature of the breath. Of course, it requires the regular practice of observing and being. I am happy to take a few steps in life together and accompany you in your process. Feel free to contact me.

The book also contains illustrations that you can download in colour and free of charge from our homepage. You are also welcome to use them.

Warmest regards,

Christina Koller

Foreword for the book by Christina Koller

In the course of daily life, we unconsciously change our breathing rhythms – constantly. Back and forth, hectically or calmly, life-prolonging or shortening. In any case, always, otherwise, we wouldn’t be here anymore!

Our breath has received a lot of attention in this book, and it is worthwhile to reconsider our own handling of it.

It is so important to fill our breath with much more awareness. This is reflected in and around our eyes, not just with a smile.

With my method of eye analysis and the methods of the Polyvagal Theory (Stephen W. Porges), I repeatedly return to the breathing rhythm of a person in my work life. Especially when I have the opportunity to conduct an eye analysis. We humans can maintain ourselves as more tired or more active with the feedback mode of our own breath. Isn’t that wonderful? It is the vagal circuits of our own breathing frequency that can unleash unexpected forces or brakes within us. Every breathing frequency allows important conclusions about the current state of health. This is visible in the sclera and iris of both eyes. Right eye sympathetic / left eye parasympathetic / comparison of both eye differences reveals the current vagus state.

Breathing functions passively in healthy individuals – averaging 10 to 15 times per minute. This breathing volume amounts to 6 to 9 liters of air per minute; around 0.5 liters per breath. Daily, this amounts to about 23,000 breaths and approximately 12 cubic meters of air. An enormous force, which we can use if we want to!

In this book, Christina Koller shows us so beautifully how we can learn to realign our own breath – how life becomes more fluid again when we integrate the many exercises she provides.

Enjoy reading with slowing down, simplifying, and deepening.
